Description: This premium version of the Aghiorgitiko comes from the oldest vineyards that the Zacharias family owns, at the foot of the Ancient Phlious Acropolis. The famous Phliasian wine was produced there during ancient times. Lexis N is a wine of deep red color. Its nose has depth, strength and density, with vivid elements of red fruits as well as sweet spices. Its mouth is full-bodied, with thin, quality tannins and a rich flavor with hues of cherry, vanilla, coffee and sweet spices. It also has a strong, long aftertaste.
Vineyards: From the Zacharias family’s own vineyards at the Tsintari location, in Nemea.
Harvest Dates: Mid Septamber.
Vinification: Prefermentary Cryoextraction for 3 days, followed by a 20-day extraction at 22-25 oC. It is left to age for one year in new oaken barrels from France, and for another six months inside a cement tank.
Served At: 17-18 oC.
Food pairings: Red meat, pork with plums, matured yellow cheeses, prey.
