Type: Dry White Wine.
Classification: Protected Geographical Indignation Peloponnese.
Grape Varieties: 55% Assyrtiko – 45% Malagouzia.
Description: Brilliant, golden yellow color. A complex and corpulent nose. Mature yellow and tropical fruit. Citrus fruits and hues of honey in the mouth, along with a mineral character and a crunchy acidity. Combined, these two give the wine vim and a long aftertaste.
Vineyards: From the Zacharias family’s won vineyards in the Douramani and Selkia Leontiou locations, in the Municipality of Nemea.
Harvest Dates: Mid August for the Malagouzia, mid September for the Assyrtiko.
Vinification: The two varieties are vinified separately. Prefermentary cryoextraction is used for 10-12 hours For the Malagouzia and 8-10 hours for the Assyrtiko. Controlled temperature fermentation is then carried out, inside stainless tanks.
Served At: 7-9 oC.
Food pairings: Grilled and fried fish, shellfish, soft white cheeses, pasta with pesto.
